This latest edition of the Rodrigo Uría Meruéndano Art Law Seminar was organised by the Professor Uría Foundation together with the General Directorate for Cultural Heritage and Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture, and co-directed by Carlos González-Barandiarán – deputy director-general of Registries and Documentation of Historical Heritage of the Ministry of Culture – and Agustín González García, a lawyer and trustee of the Professor Uría Foundation.

The closing session was held on Wednesday 19 June 2024, in which Antonio Pau – state councillor, academic of the Spanish Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation and chair of its Committee on Culture – gave a talk on the importance of training legal professionals in cultural law. The seminar was then closed by Vicente Guilarte, chair of the General Council of the Judiciary; Jordi Martí, Secretary of State for Culture; Carmen Acedo, chief state lawyer of the Ministry of Culture; Jesús Remón, senior partner of Uría Menéndez; and José María Segovia, chair of the Professor Uría Foundation. At the end of the session each participant was presented with a certificate of participation.

This edition of the seminar had 19 speakers (professionals from the legal and cultural fields) who exchanged their perspectives on particular topics by analysing domestic and international judgments in the art law field, so as to approach the cases in question with a broader outlook.
