The award ceremony of the seventh edition of the Rodrigo Uría Meruéndano Art Law Award, which supports and promotes innovative legal studies regarding the art world, was held on 30 November in the auditorium of Uría Menendéz’s Madrid office.

The event was headed by Javier Solana, chair of the Professor Uría Foundation, and Romana Sadurska, Executive Vice Chair. Guillermo Solana, artistic director of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, was entrusted with presenting the award to the Portuguese jurist Paula de Castro Silveira.

Publication and the next edition of the award

The panel’s decision was unanimous. The winning article and, following a thorough selection process, some of the other articles submitted, will be published in the next Ibero-American Yearbook on Art Law, edited by the Professor Uría Foundation. The Professor Uría Foundation has also convened the ninth edition of the award, which will have a prize of EUR 25,000. The deadline for submitting articles is 31 October 2022.

The panel for the next edition will be headed by Daniel Proença, as well as composed of Encarnación Roca Trías, Miguel Satrústegui Gil-Delgado, José Massaguer Fuentes and Luis Fernando Macías Gómez. Agustín González García will act as secretary.
